Department of Bad Spin: Pagliuca plays the trophy card

I understand that Steve Pagliuca has some serious ground to make up if he's going to win the Democratic US Senate primary. I also understand that the Celtics' recent return to NBA championship status is a feather in Pagliuca's cap. Still, is bringing the NBA trophy on Pagliuca's "Jobs Express" bus really necessary? Or helpful? Or anything other then mega-dorky?

NBA Championship Trophy will Join Pagliuca in Last Minute Push

CAMBRIDGE, MA – Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Steve Pagliuca today announced he is launching a three-day tour of Massachusetts on the “Jobs Express” bus which will feature the NBA Championship trophy.
 
The campaign will share videos from various stops of the jobs' tour on the campaigns website, www.stevepagliuca.com/jobstour, tweet live updates, and share pictures on Facebook.
