Tiger Woods central: VM tapes, apology issued, CGI reenactment

After much speculation as to why Tiger Woods got into a single-car accident at 2 o'clock in the morning this passed Friday (hitting both a fire hydrant and a tree before his wife smashed in a couple windows with one of his golf clubs and allegedly dragged him outta the car to safety), the veil of secrecy has been lifted, or, rather, yanked off. A tape of Tiger on an alleged mistress's voicemail was sent to US Weekly where you can hear Tiger begging the woman, Jaimee Grubbs -- a former Tool Academy contestant and cocktail waitress, to change her voicemail message so it only says her number and not her name. Recap of message from US: "I need you to do me a huge favor. Can you please take your name off your phone? My wife went through my phone and may be calling you. So if you can, please take your name off that. Just have it as a number on the voicemail. You got to do this for me. Huge. Quickly. Bye."

 After this news broke early this morning, Tiger issued an apology:

"I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart," Woods wrote on his Web site.
"I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves."

New sources claim there could be as many as three mistresses, but only Grubbs has admitted to an affair.

All the Tiger gossip today got people chattering over the inter-tubes, and some people took the gossip beyond words, putting in some real elbow-grease to get the word out. 

Watch a Chinese CGI reenactment of both the sentimental picture that was first painted of the car accident and what I'll call the more realistic version of what happened. Even Spirit Airlines has come out with a new campaign (see picture above) reading, "It's a jungle out there! Make sure you avoid all the obstacles and get the lowest fares."
