[VIDEO] From the Red Carpet premiere: Q&As with Ben Affleck, Blake Lively, Jon Hamm, and 6 more
Video by Sarah Paterson
You already saw what we had to say about last week's Fenway Park premiere of The Town. Now you can hear it from the actors themselves. Phoenix correspondent Brett Michel planted himself on the red carpet, and above, you will find the resulting footage (in handy YouTube playlist form).
A few highlights:
Ben Affleck on screening his film at Fenway Park: "I don't know whether to be excited, or panicked."
Chris
Cooper (a Kingston, MA, resident), on his efforts to bring the film to
Massachusetts: "Several years ago, we wondered why filming had stopped.
... Our Congressional rep was Tom O'Brien. And we suggested to him that
he give us a tax break, and Tom really moved on it."
Jon Hamm, on
the relative coolness of running around Boston with a shotgun: "It's a
lot cooler when you're not being chased by cops. It's a lot better when
people know that it's not for real."
Slaine, on his role: "These
are people I don't really have to reach too far to have a connection
with, because I can go down the street, and there's that dude. And I'm
still here -- I don't live in Hollywood; I don't live in New York."
And, somewhat inexplicably, Todd English on Charlestown: "You haven't lived until you've been to the Bunker Hill Day parade."
PLUS: Sound bites from Blake Lively, Chuck Hogan, Jeremy Renner, and Rebecca Hall.
