So you're the Foursquare mayor of the Victory Gardens?
I didn't recognize the mayor of the Victory Gardens, and I thought, "Well, why shouldn't the mayor be a gardener?" That's when I started to post my checks-ins, and lo and behold, I became mayor. I wanted to add something to the Garden Society, so I've been making it known that if gardeners have any issues, they can come to me. I'm taking it a little more seriously than the average Foursquare mayor, I think.

Speaking of taking things seriously: would you say you're the mayor of plowing and hoeing?
I would say that. There are the gardens, where there is plowing and hoeing, and there's the other side of the Fens, where there is plowing and there's hoeing.

It's weird how used-condom wrappers and syringes seem to grow in the Fens.
Actually, there's a problem with vandalism in the gardens. I'm trying to make people going down there at night aware that these are private plots. People spend a lot of money and lot of time on these, and it's not appropriate to be vandalizing someone's garden.
