Meet the Mayor: Dunkin’ Donuts in the Prudential Center
Welcome to "Meet the Mayor," a segment in which we interview local Foursquare Mayors in
their natural habitats.
Dunkin' Donuts in the
Prudential Center
Scott Cobban
What did you just
order?
My regular: a medium iced tea with sugar. It gets me going. Some
people go through a cold-to-hot beverage transition during the seasons, but I'm
solid on this beverage year round.
Even if it's freezing
outside?
Even if it's freezing.
So, you're up to more
than 900 total check-ins?
It's great. You've got just to be focused, patient, and push
through. Anyone can do it.
Is the only reason
you prefer this Dunkin' to all the others because it's closest to your work?
At first that was the reason. Now I've grown attached to
these people. I come in, I smile, I say hello, I ask how their day is going. Depending
on who is serving, sometimes they already know my order. You don't check in 252
times at a place and go unnoticed.
Sometimes you want to
go where everybody knows your name?
Or your iced-tea order. It's also helpful that its entrance
isn't outdoors, so I don't have to stand in the cold if there's a line. That
would be a double whammy.
. . .
You could always order a hot drink and feel warmer.
Iced tea makes me feel warm in my heart.
