NYC Release Bash & Pre-May Day Party for Chris Faraone's "99 Nights with the 99 Percent" (Monday 4/30)

Dear Readers,

At long last, I'm having a New York City release party for my Occupy book, 99 Nights with the 99 Percent. Better yet I'm doing it the night before May Day (on Monday, April 30), and one block from Zuccotti park, where this whole thing began. If you're in the area, it would mean a lot to me if you stopped by. New York is my hometown, and I'm working hard to make it a blowout. See you there . . .

PLACE:

The Irish American, 17 John Street, NYC

This is an awesome fucking bar, located right down the street from Zuccotti. John Street is one of the darkest, dirtiest old school streets in Manhattan – feels like a movie set right down to the smoke rising out of the pavement. As for the venue – fully equipped with pool tables, air hockey, foosball, and mini-hoops, plus lots and lots of beer and whiskey.

WHAT:

Meet, greet, and hang out with me and my posse. I'll be signing books, forearms, posters, and perhaps even a few backsides (I'll have books, or you can get one ahead of time at Bluestockings or St. Mark's Bookshop). At around 9:30, I'll also be doing a slide show with some commentary, which I promise will be more fun than it sounds. Finally – the homey Kosha Dillz will be crashing through with some friends to rock the house.

TRANSPORTATION:

A – C – J – M – Z – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 to Fulton Street / Broadway Nassau

Just about every train in the city stops one block away. Couldn't be easier to get to.
