failing? how 'bout never having been? obama's appeal to the free flow of ideas is unpersuasive to the most mediocre student of politics. that 'isealistic' obama brand bears an insisiously cynical streak which discourages firm political commitment and encourages a flimsy political language which seeks universal agreement. one cannot hunt with the hounds and hide with the foxes.
