A "very twisted XMas" and beyond!

A busy FRIDAY (the 17th) includes TONY JONES & THE CRETIN 3, GRAVESIDE SERVICE, and YOUR MOMMA'S TRASH among the acts hosting a "Very Twisted Xmas Party" at Blaze's Billiards in West Warwick; 21+ and $5 at the door, call 401.615.7677. The 201 continues to deliver some serious Rawk lineups, as LOLITA BLACK headlines a thorough noisefest benefiting RHD-RI, with guests ALEC & ORION, HOPE ANCHOR, and a swarm of client bands, including MRS. SIX EYES and HALF MAN/HALF HUMAN. Doors at 8 pm and only $5 (401.454.4581). The Ruins (colosseumri.com) also stepped up its game on the live circuit, and an eclectic bill jumps off onn Friday with experimental hip-hop crew SUN OF SOUND (which just released a debut EP), SCARE DON'T FEAR, SLEEP CITY, and plenty more. 75 or Less Records will spread the love around on SATURDAY (the 18th), with GIRL HAGGARD and THE JESSE MINUTE joining SHE RIDES at Cat's in Le Bucket (401.722.0150), while COMA COMA and BROADCASTER (formerly Killing Pablo) headline at AS220 (401.831.9327) with WALRI and BAD ART (both featuring ex-Big Tall Buildings guitarist Jared Mann). Also on Saturday, Firehouse 13 (401.270.1801) will host an all-ages throwdown assisting Toys for Tots led by JOINT DAMAGE, HATE FOR 1, NECRIS, and more; bring a new toy and receive discounted admission. If you're heading south on Saturday, stop by the Ocean Mist (401.782.3740) and catch FOXTROT ZULU with SPOGGA and ILLUMINATI opening.
