Latin-funk pros SANTA MAMBA are at the Met in Pawtucket tonight (the 6th), and head back there FRIDAY (the 7th) for a 'BRU lo-dough show starring KODIAK ATTACK (featuring ex-members of Penrose) with SLEEP CITY, AVERY, and COOPER'S FLIGHT ($8 at the door; 401.729.1005). Get out there early Friday evening and catch LOLITA BLACK at Club Hell supporting PENTAGRAM and SIN OF ANGELS; MOURNED and RAMPANT DECAY round out the hellacious bill; call 401.709.3923. On SATURDAY (the 8th), our favorite indie-folk crew, TALLAHASSEE, visit AS220 with THE SILKS, IT'S A MOUNTAIN, and DASTARDLY ($6, 401.831.9327); at the Knickerbocker Cafe (401.596.4225) check out veteran six-stringers NEIL VITULLO & THE VIPERS WITH DAVE HOWARD.
