DRINK CHECK, made by an Australian company and sold at CVS pharmacies (as well as online at CVS.com), costs $4.99 plus tax for cards on which you can test ten drinks.
The tests check for two of the most commonly used date-rape drugs, GHB and ketamine, in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and take just seconds to give results.
While they may help, don’t rely on the tests alone. There are more than 36 different drugs that can be used by date-rapists. As the Drink Check packaging warns, don’t leave your drinks unattended, and if you’re in doubt about the safety of a drink, throw it out
