This week’s full moon gets full attention from our Native American tribes. For the Algonquin (the local folks), it was the Buck Moon, and sometimes the Thunder Moon. For the Pima, it was the Moon of the Giant Cactus. For the Laguna, it was the Corn Tassle Moon, and for the romantic Oto Indians, this was the Buffalo Rutting Moon. Definitely puts you in the mood, don’t you think?
