Joseph’s Pizzeria

Not your average Joe

No question about it: when Wentworth Institute of Technology students are not in class or lab, they’re in search of food. And they know that Joseph’s Pizzeria is, pencils down, one of the best places to grab a quick, cheap bite — even while the rest of Boston is fast asleep. Regulars almost always keep the window-facing stools warm while munching on a slice. So it’s no surprise that Joseph’s is celebrating its 33rd anniversary this year.

While many go for the classic, a slice of cheese pizza ($1.75), some prefer the extravagant fugazza pizza ($9), loaded with onions, chewy cheese, fresh garlic, and oregano on a crispy pan-tossed crust. Add a side of buttery garlic bread ($2) to complete the meal. Or opt for the fan-favorite: a foot-long, grilled-chicken sub ($6.50), full of marinated chicken chunks, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and cheese. The runner-up is the chicken cutlet parmigiana sub ($6.50), with heaps of chicken cutlets dunked in marinara sauce, covered with a pleasant layer of provolone cheese.

Still another winning option is the New York–style Buffalo chicken wings ($5.70), which are tender and juicy, served with sides of hot sauce, barbecue sauce, and blue cheese. Top these babies off with a side of crispy French fries ($1.50).

Joseph's Pizzeria, located at 8 South Huntington Avenue, in Boston, is open Monday through Saturday, from 10 am to 3 am, and on Sunday, from 11 am to 3 am. Call 617.731.9880.

Joseph’s Pizzeria
You can't beat Joseph's. It's the place for a slice and a coke at 2:30am, any night of the week. I'd like to thank Joseph's for keeping me and my friends well fed for the past two years that we've lived in the area. I recommend all of the items on their menu to any first timer out there. Joseph's Pizzeria for 33 years and still going stong!!
