Young Dems and College Republicans, oh my!

The RI Young Democrats have an event tonight:

The Democratic National Convention is quickly approaching and the RI Young Democrats are keeping busy right here at home! We hope you can join us for these upcoming events and help as we all work together to elect Barack Obama the next President of the United States!

Our next meeting will be held TONIGHT, Tuesday, August 12th at 6:00PM, at Patrick's Pub (located at 381 Smith Street). We have a lot of exciting items on our agenda including upcoming events, trips to canvass in New Hampshire and much more! Just a reminder - we meet every 2nd Tuesday of the month!

Also, we have a very exciting event coming up this Friday and we would like to cordially invite you to it!  This Friday, August 15th, we will be hosting a Meet & Greet with Senator Jack Reed. This will take place from 5:00 - 7:00PM at Ri Ra Irish Pub (50 Exchange Terrace, click here to view map). As many of you know, Sen. Reed just returned from his overseas trip with Sen. Barack Obama and will be able to share details of his trip with us - we hope you can join us at this event! *Free of charge, please take a moment and invite five of your friends to come meet Senator Reed as well.

Not to be outdone, the College Republican Federation of RI is staging its own event today:

The "August Revolution"

A reminder to EVERYONE that the August Revolution Rally, hosted by the College Republicans at Roger Williams University and the College Republican Federation of Rhode Island is scheduled to take place Tuesday the 12th at 1:00PM in front of Rep. Kennedy's offices in Pawtucket. The rally in Pawtucket will last until 2:00PM, when we will then move to Rep. Langevin's offices in Warwick.

Invite your Friends! Invite your Family! Come down and join us as we stand up next to our GOP Congressmen who carried their week long fight to bring Congress Back from a 5 WEEK RECESS and vote on an energy bill.

The time is now and we need your help! For more information, contact Barry Lucier, Chairman of the College Republicans at RWU via email at barry.lucier@crfri.org or by telephone at (207) 590-3547.
