WHERE IN THE WORLD IS OSAMA BIN LADEN? Morgan Spurlock discovers that no one knows.

Last time we saw documentarian Morgan Spurlock, he was downing McDonald’s fries in Supersize Me. Now, because he’s due to become a father in five months, he’s decided to track down the world’s #1 terrorist so as to make sure the world is safe when his kid is born. The CIA, the FBI and the military haven’t found Osama, so why Spurlock? Well, he’s a bit of a self-aggrandizing schmo like Michael Moore, but he lacks Moore’s knack for satire and provocation. In his travels to all the hotbeds in the Middle East, Spurlock discovers what we already know: the US has an international image problem and no one knows the answer to the title question. He does poke his nose into some intriguing situations, such as the enclave of Hassidic Jews in Israel who seem the most militaristic bunch in the film. But a more germane question might be: why isn’t Spurlock home with his expectant wife? 93 minutes | Kendall Square + West Newton

If Rod Lurie's errant remake of Straw Dogs didn't tickle your morbid fear of home invasion, then perhaps the latest from Joel Schumacher ( Falling Down ) might do the job.
