By PROVIDENCE PHOENIX MUSIC STAFF  |  July 25, 2012

The debut album from SWEET LOVE (75orLess Records) is finally here: the stoner-rock trio is ready to unleash Motor, so get your first taste at a listening party hosted by E & O Tap on THURSDAY (the 26th) around 9:30 pm, then head to the PVD Social Club early on FRIDAY (the 27th) for some more Sweet Love action, along with VERTICAL TWIN and GROUNDHAWGS (doors at 7 pm, 401.454.7177). Sidebar Bistro's Outdoor Summer Series continues with ERIC BLOOM & THE FUNKY AUTOCRATS, followed by esteemed mixmaster DJ OSHEEN starting at 8 pm (401.421.7200). Friday rocks on at Marley's On the Beach in Warwick with MIKE G. & ASSOCIATES (401.736.0400); Philly-meets-PVD as hardcore blows through AS220 (401.831.9327) with LOWLIFE, WHITE LOAD, DEAD PEOPLE SCREAMING, and HOLY NIGHT; and TRIANGLE FOREST are still kicking out the electro-love jams and will headline at Local 121 with guests STEREO TELESCOPE and CASEY DESMOND ($6, 401.274.2121). It should be a wild one on SATURDAY (the 28th) at the Ocean Mist (401.782.3740) starring NEUTRAL NATION and JUNGLE DOGS, while PVD's Jewelry District gets hit with a serious case of the blues when PAUL GEREMIA stops by for a freebie at Nick-a-Nee's (21+, 401.861.7290). If hard rawk is more your speed, get to Firehouse 13 for the mighty KANERKO with ECHOES OF PETRA and STEALING GADSBY (all ages, $10 at the door, 401.270.1801). More loud-as-fuck action at AS220 (401.831.9327) features JUCIFER, LOLITA BLACK (yes!), WOOZY, and GERTRUDE ATHERTON, while BAYLIES BAND and HEADLESS NIXON perform at No Problemo in New Bedford (21+ and no cover, 508.984.1081). A noteworthy edition of the weekly Legends Jam at the Met is on SUNDAY (the 29th), this time with Matt Martin's PSYCHEDELIC CLOWN CAR & friends (no cover, doors at 4 pm, 401.729.1005). On TUESDAY (the 31st) catch JOCIE ADAMS (of the Low Anthem) with ALEC K. REDFEARN and CUDDLE MAGIC (all ages, $7 at the door, 401.274.2121).
