I am writing regarding your editorial of September 10. However much you like to parade around as journalists with integrity, your writing sells you out. Not only do you not do your research, but you blatantly choose sides without taking in adequate consideration or information from multiple points of view. In short, you are not doing your job. If you can’t write with informed decisions, based on thorough research and investigation, can you spare us your completely biased and irrelevant political commentary? I know high-school journalism students who could do a better job than you. You aren’t fooling anyone.

Phoenix contributor Marcia B. Siegel has won the prestigious Selma Jeanne Cohen Memorial Prize for her book Mirrors & Scrims: The Life and Afterlife of Ballet (Wesleyan University Press), a collection of her pieces about dance, many of which originally appeared in the Phoenix. The $1000 prize is awarded every other year to an article or book for “outstanding work in dance theory, dance history, or dance aesthetics” by the American Society for Aesthetics.
