Philly rap foursome CHIDDY BANG -- who've made a name for themselves in their hometown for rhyming over such hipster staples as Radiohead's "Nude," Kid Cudi's "Day and Night" and MGMT's "Kids" -- have dropped a new track based on the hook from (multiple Best Music Poll nominees) PASSION PIT's "Better Things." We don't expect to hear it on JAM'N, but it's nice to know that someone outside Boston still thinks there's cred to be had by bumping these dudes. Let this serve as the official late pass to Boston's underground MC's: why ain't the hometown team on this bandwagon?

Trust us, there's more beats available on that new Passion Pit jawn. And there's still time to leap onboard the bus (though not much) before Passion Pit make their first official appearance in town since the release of Manners -- that would be Thursday at the Paradise, by the way. In the meantime, you can amuse yourself by voting for or against) Passion Pit in the BEST ALBUM, BEST MALE VOCALIST, BEST LOCAL ACT, and BEST SONG categories of our 2009 Best Music Poll.
Also, Passion Pit played at some hippie festival over the weekend. In case you care:
