Jason Dunn

This week's mp3 has its genesis in the recent "One Night Band" project. Therefore, we'll let the folks at Boston Band Crush, who put on the event, explain PEPPERMINT PATTIES to us:

The Peppermint Patties, took the concept of One Night Band to the extreme.  They decided to be a band that only played '50s style numbers...about murder.  They also managed to somehow write 3 songs and record them in the few hours between the morning meeting and the show.

You can read much more over at their site, including video and a recap of the experience from Rich Adkins of the In Out, one of the people assigned to be a Patty, along with Jason Dunn of the Luxury, Julie Two Times of The New Alibis and Vagiant, Chris Mulvey of Muy Cansado, and Joe DeGeorge of Harry and the Potters. You can also download two more Patties songs. For those who fear that level of commitment, check out "I Can't Find Your Head" below, along with this week's top five songs on New England Product Spotlight (listen on 101.7 WFNX, Sunday nights at 11).
