[awesome video alert + download] Mean Creek "The Land Of Hopes And Dreams"
Fresh off their triple-score in our Best Music Poll (Best Boston Act, Best Male Vocalist in Chris Keene, and WFNX Boston Accents Song of the Year for "The Comedian"), MEAN CREEK released a new video and song in a week where their naked bodies grace the cover of the Boston Phoenix. A towering, reflective, last-call-at-the-bar rock anthem that continues the band's ascent into New England superstar territory, brand new track "The Land Of Hopes And Dreams" is available for free download via their Bandcamp. After the video hit the interwebs this morning, a few short hours after Mean Creek returned from Philly to destroy a packed house of friends and fam at O'Brien's Pub in Allston last night, guitarist Aurore Ounjian posted this recap of the visuals: "Shot this in Rhode Island with the talented Kieran John Delaney and Lunar Pictures! Holy crap, this night was insane. We drove up to a sketchy, abandoned warehouse, it was freezing/pouring rain, the cops showed up, consumed a ridiculous amount of beer and cookies, almost caught pneumonia... good times."
