Hi, Sally,
I enjoyed your article on Neleman's book & your 13 Ways of Looking at Ink.
No tattoos here (ick) but younger family members are all fans; birthdays seem to be the big day (April 10, February 20, December 7).
Regards,
Penelope
Hmmm, birthday tattoos. I have to admit, the scarification aspects of moko is the most interesting, just because I've seen amazing examples of same in the African statues and masks we have at Fitchburg Art Museum. But it's just the deciding on something that stymies me...

Did you get a tattoo? When did you get it? I just wrote a piece on Peabody-Essesx Maori Moko exhibition and am curious because I'm hearing from folks with tattoos. Is there a planetary configuration that prompts this decision? Let me know

Here's my best recent Merc. Rx tale
I was on a tour of the East Fitchburg Wastewater Treatment plant, in an effort to learn more about the state-mandated grit facility we need to construct (Symboline doesn't JUST do astrology you know..). The city is looking at spending some $9.6 mill. to make this happen. I was basically dazed from the aroma, which is beyond anything I've ever experienced, and I've been near a dead body pre-funeral. My notebook dropped, unbenownst to me, into a pile of .... something. And I couldn't find it -- anywhere! So I had to run through the whole plant AGAIN. Finally, someone working there must have found and retrieved and it was...damp. Mercury rules communication so putting my words in a big pile of sewage was definitely raising the ante.
