Doctor Who > Christmas programming

Christmas programming schedules have officially taken over our TVs. Not that we don't want to watch It's A Wonderful Life back to back with Miracle on 34th Street, but ... actually, we don't want to watch those films again. We'll just admit it.

Whovians and other sci-fi fans will find relief from the holiday onslaught on BBC America and the SyFy channel. This list details when you should force your family to change the channel from fat elves to time lords. BBC America gives us two Who Christmas specials on Wednesday and a Who re-run Thursday. SyFy highlights include Whedon's Firefly epilogue, Serenity, playing at 6:30 PM on Christmas Day, and then a 14-hour horror-fest starting at 9 AM the day after.

Here's a last Who-related conversation piece. What do we think: will Waters of Mars include Silurians, or are these snapshots way too fuzzy to confirm or deny the rumors? We'll have to wait until Sunday to find out, but why not start obsessing early?
