Major Stars added to All Tomorrow's Parties

Boston avant/doom/metal underlords Major Stars -- the band in which your favorite Twisted Villagers lay aside the skronk and get in tune with their inner 17-year-old, Schlitz-drinking, Camaro-driving, Sabbath-t-shirt-wearing headbanger -- have been added to the next All Tomorrow's Parties shindig by ATP curator/WesternMass resident Thurston Moore, joining a lineup that already includes Iggy and the Stooges, the Mark Arm version of DKT/MC5, Wolf Eyes, Gang of Four, Negative Approach, Be Your Own Pet, and fellow Bay Staters Dinosaur Jr, Sunburned Hand of the Man, and, of course, The Sonic Youf. The festival, subtitled "The Nightmare Before Christmas," goes down Decembe 8-10 at the Butlins Holiday Resort oustide of Glastonbury. The unusual arrangement here is that each ticket to the three-day fest includes accomodations at the resort, where the amenities include such un-indie-rock fare as Burger King and Pizza Hut. Yerm.
