Secret Neon Indian show Oct. 3; download Class Actress' 'Terminally Chill' cover
Question of the day: How many generators does it take to power a secret chillwave show?
The answer arrives Sunday, Oct. 3 when Neon Indian hits Boston for a live performance at a top secret location. The gig is a collaborative effort between Levi's and Urban Outfitters, and because the show is powered by a generator, organizers are saying it could pop-up anywhere in the city. The site will be revealed about 48 hours before the show, so check back with On The Download next Friday -- as soon as we know the place and time, we'll post it. The show is slated for 4 p.m., so there's still time to catch the xx later that night at the Orpheum. Oh glory, hipster Sunday!
For those who grew up sneaking around the house looking for Christmas presents in early December, clues to the secret gig can be found on the UO secret generator series blog, its Facebook page and by texting SECRET to UOUOUO (868686). But seriously, we'll let you know the Friday before. We're told it's not in any of the "usual" places, so this sounds like a pretty cool off-the-cuff party.
Oh and hey, speaking of Neon Indian, have you heard the insanely sexy Class Actress cover of "Terminally Chill?" Cheers to Stereogum for the hookup on this, because we totes <3 Elizabeth Harper.
