Open discussion thread for people who've seen the Dark Knight (with spoilers)

We've been waiting for it for more than a year, and it's finally here. Sure, we haven't even seen it yet, but others have, so we're opening the floor for people to post their thoughts on the entire thing, with all plot details fair game for discussion, including the ending. If you haven't seen it yet, consider yourself fairly warned!

I would have thought they would use Dent to set up for another movie!

And Oscar for Ledger for sure. He was great!

I too thought they would keep Dent around.

Heath Ledger was so amazing. It was a fearless and scary performance. The scene in the nurse's uniform was classic.

I heard the part where he's fiddling with the detonator was improvised.

Rumors about Dent's demise might be exaggerated, as with Lt. Gordon. Otherwise, why this? us.imdb.com/.../ns0000002

Ledger should win something more than an mtv movie award (which you know he'll sweep cause mtv is too unoriginal).  Maybe not an oscar cause its not really your typical, conservative oscar role, but he will get a nod for it.

The Dark knight was also considerably cheesier than Batman Begins (The cell phone SONAR eyes, that was too much), so I wouldn't be suprised if they got someone else for the joker.  People can always recreate a character, but at least people won't forget who created it.
