A taste of Stella

July 23

The fact that they’re going to be serving fried artichoke hearts is enough to get us to the “Italian Excursion” wine dinner at STELLA (1525 Washington Street, Boston) on July 23. Of course, the menu also features dishes such as homemade gnocchi, spicy mussels with saffron cream, and pork Milanese, so even if you’re not as obsessed with artichokes as we are, you’re sure to be well-fed. John Vesce from Bedford International Wines is the night’s special guest. The cost is $62, excluding tax and gratuity, and the dinner begins with a reception at 6:30 pm; call 617.247.7747 for reservations and information.
