• Remember how MADGIRL was selling local discs through her MAD HOUSE store on Commercial Street? Well, she has 45 local artists in the store right now, and is willing to add more, but is no longer paying for the discs up front — just selling the discs and passing the money back along, without taking a commission.

• Former GYPSY TAILWIND frontgal ANNA LOMBARD is continuing to get back into the game. Next up is a date to record down in Nashville with guitarist ADAM AGATI this fall.

• Looks like it might be time to say "goodnight" to the GOODNIGHT PROCESS. Frontman DEAN FORD will be returning to a solo go of it following the departure of KRIS RODGERS and KURT BAKER from the four-piece. Too bad. Though they rifled through a few different line-ups, they were a nice live band with a good debut in The Way Things Are.

• Twenty years of the BONEHEADS? Seriously? Yep, it's been that long. To celebrate, they'll be releasing a retrospective disc on CORNMEAL RECORDS called Above Average Songs: 20 Years Of Boneheads. To celebrate, they'll be playing a 20th anniversary show and CD-release party September 18 at the Empire.

ADAM KURTZ may be in Los Angeles, but that doesn't mean he doesn't miss Portland. If you miss him, don't worry, you can grab his new EP off Bandcamp starting August 31. He calls it "more of a return to the logical sequel to Devil is Defeated, as opposed to the alt-country Open Road." If you're a fan, you know what that means.
