• GEOFF ZIMMERMAN has just finished up recording his debut CD with ERIC BETTENCOURT. The CD-release show is scheduled for December 18, at the Big Easy. The show doubles as a "sweater party."
• Be on the lookout for a SPARKS THE RESCUE video for "We Love Like Vampires." They just wrapped filming.
• Long-time Portland musician GLENN GAUDIN (ROADHEAD, JESSICA ROSE AND THE DIRTY SECRETS, WELFARE MAFIA, GENERAL MOTORS!, BROTHERHOOD DOGS) is reportedly back at it with a band called BORA. We know little else.
• We've got final word on the new PETE KILPATRICK release: It's called Shapes and Sounds, and it will be in stores and on iTunes December 15. Mark your calendars. You know, the ones featuring hunky shots of Pete?
• Kudos to ANDREW RUSH, for being a bigger Phish nerd than Pfeifle: "Phish has not played eight albums on Halloween as stated in your article in the November 13 edition of the Phoenix. They have played albums during the following Halloween shows. 1994: Beatles The White Album | 1995: The Who Quadrophenia | 1996: Talking Heads Remain in Light | 1998: Velvet Underground Loaded. Also, in 1998 they played Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety on 11/1. You do nail the fact that Phish is a tremendous live band in that article, however."
