Head back there for another beast of a local show on FRIDAY (the 5th) featuring new speed-punks LIFERS with SHE RIDES, HOLLOWS, and WHITE LOAD opening. Nasty. And a shout for YOUNG NEAL & THE VIPERS, doing their thing at Chan's (401.765.1900). Show of the weekend goes to the 201, delivering a nice four-pack headlined by SIX STAR GENERAL, with THE JESSE MINUTE, GIRL HAGGARD, and Eric Baylies' new project BAD MOTHERFUCKER (attention fans of Melvins and the Jesus Lizard), a good reason to get downtown early and only $5 at the door. Looking ahead to WEDNESDAY (the 10th), WHITE MICE kick off a nationwide tour at AS220 with STRESS APE and FUZZ ORCHESTRA.
