Peaches and Cream: Slim from 112 at the Strand Theatre

Since I've for years written that it's in Boston's great interest to preserve and invest in Dorchester's Strand Theatre, I now feel partially responsible for helping the institution's volunteers and organizers keep the great hall busy. The long-lasting $6 million renovation is finished; the place looks dignified (from outside at least - I haven't been in yet); and the shows-they-are-a-coming.

This Friday, May 1, Slim of 112 is at the Strand with comedian Donnell Rawlings from Chappelle's Show. Guys - if you're rounding third date territory en route to home plate - the hook from "Cupid" will absolutely seal the deal. The best part: if you can't afford tickets, you can sell your gold for cash right at the door (for real - look at the flyer).
