A couple weeks ago, I heard tell of www.flightlipdub.com, which was basically a contest to see who could best lip-synch the Flight of the Conchords song “Hiphopopotamus vs. Rhymenoceros.” I decided to do it because (a) I have recently aquired a retardedly-expensive video-camera and some editing software, (b) I needed an excuse to learn how to better use them, and (c) I have a friend with a chicken suit.

YouTube videos to air with ads in 2008

I guess we all should have seen this coming: YouTube is sticking ads on to its videos next year.

On the surface, it seems like this might bring the site's popularity down a shade, but then again, Google has a history of creativity when it comes to this stuff. Who knows. Maybe this stab at legitimacy will incite more companies to open their video vaults.

The big news was on the four previously announced direct-to-DVD movies, the first of which, Bender's Big Score, comes out November 27th. Here's the plot: Bender is taken in by an Internet scam involving nude people.
