Look, there's no getting around this: about 200 words from now this item is going to turn into a cellphone commercial. We apologize in advance, and if you're against cellphone commercials, you definitely don't want to read on. However, KELLY CLARKSON and LADY GAGA are playing a free double-bill next month at the House of Blues, and in order to fill in the details, we're going to have to mention the name and location of a certain mobile-phone provider . . . and we're also going to have to give out a URL that includes the name of a txt-friendly phone model popular with teenage girls. Damn. Free publicity in 5, 4, 3 . . .
To wit: the Grammys -- an interior design firm responsible for putting a bunch of cute gold statuettes in Robert Plant's living room -- are brining Kelly and Lady Gaga to the House of Blues on May 3. The tickets are free, but the only way to get them is through T-Mobile. There's a way to enter online, at www.sidekick.com, but they're also giving them away starting April 20 at two Massachusetts locations: the T-Mobile stores at 375 Washington Street in Boston, and another one out in the burbs at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree. Warning: once you're there, you'll have to a) buy a Sidekick, b) show them your Sidekick, or c) play some kind of game.
