On FRIDAY (the 12th), local crew Milkbread funks up the Spot (401.383.7133) along with Boston acts Otis Grove and Akashic Record. And “folk-tronic” duo VaVaBlume celebrates an EP release at AS220 (401.831.9327) with Su Casa, Rat Ruckus, and Dizzy Bats. SATURDAY (the 13th) highlights include the Chris Monti Band at Nick-a-Nee’s (21+, no cover, 401.861.7290); Boston rock legends The Neighborhoods hit the Ocean Mist (401.782.3740); and Resources for Human Development hosts a killer fundraiser at Dusk (401.714.0444). RHD-RI employs some local rock royalty, and bands like Lolita Black, Boo City, and In Heat will shred for a worthy cause (just $10 at the door!). On SUNDAY (the 14th), head to AS220 early for RISA’s Songwriters in the Round with Steve Allain and Katherine Quinn (6-8 pm), then hang around for the electro-sex grooves of the Kolour Kult with The Mast, Trip Dicks, and All the Friends. Looking ahead to TUESDAY (the 16th), The Universes, Son of Bitch (Pittsburgh) and Raven King hit AS220, and on WEDNESDAY (the 17th) Ravi Shavi hit the Met for an official tour kickoff party ($8 and all-ages, 401.729.1005).Next THURSDAY (the 18th) the Burnside Park series rolls on with Smith & Weeden.
