Also on Friday, Mark Cutler & Men of Great Courage play a freebie at Nick-a-Nee’s (401.861.7290); and the Spot Underground welcomes back Boston’s Mean Creek along with killer local guests including Torn Shorts, Northern Lands, Dylan Sevey & the Gentlemen, and The YaBeautifuls; 18+ with an $8 cover at the door (401.383.7133). On SATURDAY (the 7th), Boo City will funk things up at the Tavern on Broadway in Newport (401.619.5675) with a busy Tyler James and Delta 88, while Dusk (401.714.0444) and Tor Johnson Records bring The Ten Year War (celebrating a DVD release) with Weak Teeth and Saint Jude — for just $3! On SUNDAY (the 8th), swing by the Narragansett Café and soak up some blues courtesy of the George Gritzbach Band starting around 4 pm (no cover, 401.423.2150).
