Tar baby, indeed

If you've watched Mitt Romney for years--and that description probably fits anyone who reads this blog--you know the Iowa Tar Baby Debacle is just the latest in a long line of dubious mistakes.

The only thing good about this is that Romney stands no chance of getting anywhere in the presidential race. Actually, I never thought he had a shot (I mean, is America really going to elect a Mormon?!?) but now I hope his fate is sealed.

Romney rushing to Iowa to proclaim himself the Big Dig savior offers a compressed verison of his forty months in office. All throughout his term, Mitt has been quick to congratulate himself for really just doing his job. Sure he balanced the budget in 2003 without raising taxes. Nice job. But he hasn't stopped talking about it since. Sure the health care legislation was a nice start -- but do we need the national press corp there to watch him sign a glorified op-ed piece into law. I wish we had a governor that would spend less time talking about his accomplishments and more time accomplishing things.
