Globe: Throw The Bums Out!

The Boston Globe endorsed challenger John Connolly, and only John Connolly, for at-large city councilor today, refusing to endorse any of the four incumbents. Ouch!

The Herald is a bit more predictable, endorsing three Irishmen (Connolly, Michael Flaherty, and Steve Murphy) and dissing the two progressive minorities.

Connolly's been doing pretty well with Ward Committee endorsements, too, for what they're worth. I'll try to get a wrap-up of those for you soon.

Not that you care. You're voting a Beckett-Ortiz-Lowell-Papelbon ticket, aren't you?

It's interesting that the Globe would even bother since it doesn't seem like they cover much Council or city stuff anymore as it is. Or, at least not like they used to in the past.

I guess the globe like the herald realize that showing up to work is part of the criteria and Yoon and Arroyo don't do it. If any of us didn't show up to work as many times as they have, we wouldn't have jobs. After first or even second time we would be fired. It's about time people wake up and realize they are wasting $87,500 a year each on these two bozos. I wouldn't be surprised if Connolly gets in or maybe even another challenger sneaking in as well. Word on the street is Hogan is the strongest out of the other four challengers. I hope Arroyo and Yoon know the number to the Mass. Unemployment office.

I don't think Hogan's a tool. You can get the information out any which way you can. It shows that by doing it on regular white recycled paper is not only cost-effective but environmentally friendly. Anyone can put out a glossy, flashy flyer, but with those you lose information and only see nice staged pictures. Dot Ratts I think your a fool. If you think literature should on a flashy, glossy flyer/mailer, then you're one of the more shallow voters that looks at appearance rather than issues.
