Palin: What Ever Happened To J-School Ethics?

Trying to get her out in more friendly venues, the McCain campaign had Sarah Palin do a short interview today with conservative national radio host -- and renowned Mitt Romney sycophant -- Hugh Hewitt. (Full transcript here.) In a typically hard-hitting question, Hewitt wondered whether Palin agreed with those who feel that Charles Gibson and Katie Couric asked her "sort of pop quizzes designed to embarass you as opposed to interviews."

Palin: Well, I have a degree in journalism also, so it surprises me that so much has changed since I received my education in journalistic ethics all those years ago.

Ouch! Score one for the U of Idaho J-school!

Thanks for the transcript.  If Sarah Palin can maintain this tone and temper through tonight's (Thursday) VP debate, then Joe Biden will be in for a long night.  Palin sends her message down Main Street, breadbasket states, and the middle-and-working classes.  Charming by being disarming, down-to-earth and plain spoken, she nonetheless pushes many buttons from struggling with family finances to union membership to government corruption and many more.  Her appeal is not for the liberal, well-educated precincts but for ordinary folk. Sarah adds another contrast to the election:  small towns to big cities.
