Free party with the Rapture on Aug. 4

Royale is becoming the home base for free mega-parties.

While we're still a tad hungover from Passion Pit's romp on Tremont Street a few weeks ago (and in massive debt after taking out all those damn credit cards), you can bet we'll be tipping back a few Amstel Lights this Wednesday, Aug 4 when the Amsterdam Live series gives us a free party featuring previously-in-hiding NYC dance-rock dudes The Rapture. Amsterdam Live bills itself as a "unique nightclub experience fusing art, live music, dance and DJs in true Amsterdam Style," but evs dawg, they had us sold at free party with free beer.  

It's worth noting that rounding out the hump-day bill are Dutch DJ Scumfrog (gotta keep it real for the Netherlands, they're footing the bill) and local homeboy DJ Die Young, who also had the honor of getting the Passion Pit party started.
