[video] Bad Rabbits in the studio with Chino Moreno and producer Teddy Riley
Oh shit, it’s Bad Rabbits in the studio with Deftones’ Chino Moreno and New Jack Swing producer Teddy Riley. Hot damn! The exploding Boston-based power-funk quintet has recently been in Los Angeles banging out a full-length debut album set for release in 2011.
Word from Bad Rabbits camp is that Moreno is “one of a few major guests that will be on the [new] album.” The as-yet-unnamed effort is a follow-up to this year’s dynamite Stick Up Kids EP, which you can still get for free mp3 download or on CD for $5 through their partnership with Karmaloop. But clearly you already have it.
In the meantime, Bad Rabbits perform next week at the Middle East in Cambridge on Aug. 25 as part of Envy On The Coast’s local farewell gig. From there a remix album is expected to drop sometime in the fall, and a 21-date national tour with Mike Posner — where they hit pretty much every House of Blues in the country — kicks off Sept. 13.
Despite blowing up, Bad Rabbits remain unsigned to a major label.
