'Honestly,' it's a Spirit Kid controversy


Well today's local music news is nothing short of shocking, a great controversy more menacing than trying to navigate through the Allston intersections of Harvard and Comm avenues during Moving Day.

Here comes Emeen Z's groovy jangle-pop trio Spirit Kid, offering up teaser track "Honestly" off their digital double-single/45 release set to drop later this month. And featured on the release's cover art is dapper drummer Andy Sadoway -- also of Girlfriends fame, and we do mean fame -- playing a chord, C major 7, that does not appear to be played anywhere on the song.

What gives? What does this mean? Why did he pose that way? What's under those shades? This is what happens when a drummer is handed a guitar, and the result is more appalling than the Brandon Spikes sex tape. Great song, though. Catchy as Randy Moss, and Boston might have found its modern-day answer to the Zombies. Listen in via Soundcloud below:
