I'm going to Camp Bisco and I'm going to live tweet about it
Normally
this would be deserving of a "SSIA" but my God, look at this video.
Yes, that video above which makes it seem like I'm about to embark on
the most extreme weekend of my life. The one that's only about
27-minutes and three screaming Juggalos shy of doubling as one of those Gathering infomercials that we here in the Phoenix office will never, ever
tire of. "AYO! After we get Shpongle to lace ya dome piece, we got my
main ninja Skrillex, ready to come through and sever your carotid
artery!"
And
while covering a Jock Jams brostep festival may sound like the most
counterproductive thing I could possibly be doing with my life, I'm
under the impression that there's a lot here that both the fine readers
of OTD and fans of electronic music in general would love hearing
about. Taking place in upstate NY, about an hour outside of Albany, CAMP
BISCO is curated by electro jambandiers the DISCO BISCUITS and
features a wide breadth of musical talent including, but not limited to,
CUT COPY, WIZ KHALIFA, DEATH FROM ABOVE 1979, MSTRKRFT, YEASAYER, FOUR
TET, NEON INDIAN, HOLY GHOST!, SBTRKT, DAS RACIST, and a DJ set from a
special someone of whom I haven't seen since April and have been known to gush at lengths about
on this very site. Oh yeah, and the whole thing takes palce on a camp
ground owned and operated by Hells Angels, making it unequivocally the
biggest shitshow this side of the Mississippi.
So
while I'm learning to juggle a Flipcam, my cellphone, and an
inexpensive can of light beer in only two hands, you can follow me on
Twitter @michael_c_walsh.
Expect plenty of jokes that would probably only make sense if you were
standing right next to me, YouTube vids prominently featuring laser
beams, and a big ass Storify wrap-up upon my return. #wishmeluck
