This Wednesday, July 13, Denton, Texas's WICCANS bring their fast-but-catchy, melodic-matched-with-abrasive-vocals punk magic to O'Brien's pub in Allston. This Texas band features members of Teenage Cool Kids and Wax Museum, and we can all get amped up by downloading their album, Skullduggery, for free from Katorga Works Records.

A bunch of loud locals make up the rest of Wednesday's bill. Sharing the stage that night are local noise-punk band WHITE PAGES, whose songs often barely last longer than a minute but leave a lasting impression (I mean how could they not with song titles like "Stole My Fucking Face, Tell You What"). THUNDER MOTHERFUCKER will be playing their variety of thrashy punk, and THE SCAMPS will be rock-and-rolling like they always do. Maybe if we're lucky they'll play their rendition of Thin Lizzy's "The Boys are Back in Town." Doors are at 9pm, it's 18-plus and it will cost you $8 to enter (unless you know the door guy or get on a list or something).
