[cat power] OMFG it's a kitten metal band
I'll be honest -- I really don't know too much about this YouTube clip, but here's what I do know: It's 21 seconds long, it's apparently for something called "Debit Mastercard Priceless Music Series," and ...HOLY SHIT IT'S A KITTEN METAL BAND PLAYING A CATIO AND TRASHING THE STAGE OMFG AHHHH RWTY GR^THf576y 6hvxcrt 6y67ujt gdf6yh #%&#$#@$$^
Ok, deep breath. Whew. Here are a few more details, from the info box under the clip, which was posted on Thursday and for some inexplicable reason still has less than 100 views: Greedy Hen recently created a paper stage and some tiny paper instruments for a rowdy kitten band to trash, rock star style. If you look closely there are bottles of catnip lying around the stage, the keyboard is a Catio and the band name on the bass drum is The Strays. The project was for Master Card and was put together by One Six Six Productions. Directed by the combined creative genius powers of Patrick Chambers & Brendan Willenberg (aka Brenrick)
Regardless of the commercial tie-in, A+ work all around. To quote Phoenix contributor Devon S. Maloney: Every single company has now caught on to the fact that you can sell literally anything with kittens. As anti-capitalist as I am, I don't think I could possibly care an ounce less.
Seriously. Now we just gotta hook up the Strays with these dudes, get some Black Cat Metal making the rounds:
