Matt O'Malley Joining Pagliuca Team

Matt O'Malley is leaving his post as MassEquality's political director to join the Steve Pagliuca Senate campaign, as its state-wide field co-ordinator. A source in the Pagliuca campaign confirms that O'Malley will begin working for them immediately, while phasing out of his MassEquality position over the next week.

O'Malley, the red-haired sprite who replaced Matt McTighe at the gay-rights advocacy organization a year ago, ran Andrea Cabral's successful 2004 campaign for Sheriff, and twice ran unsuccessfully himselffor Boston City Council.

O'Malley becomes part of a team being assembled for Pagliuca by Doug Rubin; former Sal DiMasi press aide Victoria Bonney recently left her communications position with the New Hampshire Democratic Party to be Pagliuca's press secretary.
