It's apparently Obama in a complete blowout in all three locales tonight. If this continues into Wisconsin next week, Ohio and Texas on March 4 may be Clinton's last chance to make a stand.

Huckabee ran well while losing narrowly in Virginia but mathematically he cannot win the nomination since there are very few winner-take-all states left.

The primaries continue on today with contests in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Anything other than huge victories for Barack Obama in all three will be a surprise, continuing his momentum and putting him into the delegate lead. On the GOP side, it would be a shock if McCain doesn't win Maryland and DC; Virginia, like most southern states this time around, appears up for grabs.

Review of Last Night --- Preview of Today's Maine Caucuses

Both Barack Obama and Mike Huckabee cleaned up yesterday -- Obama sweeping all three states, garnering momentum, and Huckabee surprising McCain in two of the three. If those results are replicated today for Obama, the snowball will begin rolling down the hill. (The Maine GOP caucuses have already been held -- Romney won.)

As expected, Barack Obama is headed to big caucus victories in Nebraska and Washington and a primary win in Louisiana -- continuing his momentum and further reducing the narrow delegate lead of Hillary Clinton. On Tuesday, there's a chance he will go into the delegate lead for the first time -- which would be hugely significant, at least psychologically.

The primaries and caucuses continue today and on the Democratic side, it should be a very good day for Barack Obama with a primary in Louisiana (which has a large number of African-American voters) and caucuses in Nebraska and Washington (he tends to do exceptionally well in caucus states).
On the GOP side, where Kansas is voting rather than Nebraska, McCain will not do as well -- a Huckabee surprise in Louisiana, given his strength in the south, wouldn't be a shock and he could surprise in Kansas too.

Romney Is Dropping Out -- Don't Count Out Huckabee In Future Primaries

It's being reported that Mitt Romney is dropping his presidential bid. That leaves McCain, Huckabee, and Paul -- and Huckabee is an attractive enough candidate that he could cause a few problems for McCain in future states, though not enough to derail his likely nomination.

McCain and Clinton Will Win California Comfortably, Giving Them Bragging Rights on the Night-- Though in Clinton's Case, Barely

Our review of Super Tuesday up until now is posted but with California now projected for Clinton and McCain, they get momentum heading out of Super Tuesday on a night where they essentially won enough of the contests they had to win.
Obama did well in the small states and he has prevailed in Missouri, a state many did not think he could win.

OVERALL ROUNDUP: Based on current returns and projections, of the 15 primary states, Clinton seems likely to carry Arizona, Arkansas, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Tennessee.
Obama seems likely to carry Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Utah.
That's 7 states for Clinton and 6 for Obama -- with California and Missouri still out.

Mike Huckabee has won the West Virginia caucuses after McCain supporters joined Huckabee's to deny Mitt Romney a victory (Romney had won the first round of voting). It's winner-take-all -- 18 delegates.

REPUBLICANS

McCain appears like he may salt away the nomination on Tuesday. Not only does he continue to hold his lead in the northeast but he appears to be doing very well in the South -- where there are five primaries -- and could win a majority of them.
